Roosevelt TostonRoosevelt Toston, Author (, has been a resident of Las Vegas for nearly 50 years and is considered a trailblazer for his many accomplishments.

He was the first (full-time) African-American broadcast journalist and television anchorman in the state of Nevada. As a result of his work in the broadcast industry and with the LVCVA he received numerous awards, among them: the Apex Award (Black Meetings & Tourism Magazine), and Pioneer Award (Las Vegas Association of Black Journalists).

His new book, “Beating The Odds – in Las Vegas and Life” is an inspirational journey of his life and accomplishments in Las Vegas and representing Las Vegas on the world stage.
